How we handle corrections
When we publish an error of fact, we correct it. The correction is made inline
in the article body, prefixed with a clear note ("Correction, YYYY-MM-DD: ..."),
the article's dateModified timestamp is bumped so search engines
and AI citation surfaces see the change, and a summary entry is added below.
Errors of opinion or interpretation are not corrected through this process; they may be addressed in follow-up coverage. See section 5 of our editorial standards for the full corrections policy.

Spot an error?
Send a note to [email protected] with the article URL and the
specific claim that's wrong, along with the source for the corrected version.
We acknowledge correction requests within one business day and post a decision
within three.
