Corrections

Public record of editorial corrections.

FinNotes keeps a public record of factual corrections to published articles. This page lists corrections of substantive facts, with date, article, what changed, and why.

How we handle corrections

When we publish an error of fact, we correct it. The correction is made inline in the article body, prefixed with a clear note ("Correction, YYYY-MM-DD: ..."), the article's dateModified timestamp is bumped so search engines and AI citation surfaces see the change, and a summary entry is added below.

Errors of opinion or interpretation are not corrected through this process; they may be addressed in follow-up coverage. See section 5 of our editorial standards for the full corrections policy.

Log

No corrections logged since site launch. This is the public ledger — when the first correction is filed, it will appear here.

Spot an error?

Send a note to [email protected] with the article URL and the specific claim that's wrong, along with the source for the corrected version. We acknowledge correction requests within one business day and post a decision within three.
