Oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz continued over the weekend, with vessel traffic reported near levels seen before the conflict began.
According to AP, 67 ships passed through the waterway in the last 24 hours, carrying oil and oil products at a pace similar to earlier traffic. Separate reporting said more than 17 million barrels of oil transited the strait over the weekend.
The continued tanker movements came after Iran announced that it had closed the waterway. Reports also indicated that Iranian crude exports increased as tanker transits continued through the strait.
