Turkey inaugurated Etimesgut Airport in Ankara under the new name Ankara Airport, with the ANK code, for domestic and international operations.

President Tayyip Erdogan attended the opening ceremony. Turkish media and officials said the facility is scheduled to receive aircraft carrying leaders attending the NATO summit, including U.S. President Donald Trump.

The airport’s opening expands aviation operations in the capital ahead of the summit.
