UBS Group AG has reduced staffing in its Asia sustainability office, cutting the team from seven to three employees as part of a broader restructuring. The Zurich-based bank has also reduced its global sustainability workforce by nearly 65%.

Additionally, UBS has almost completely eliminated its dedicated ESG data team, according to reports. The bank stated it is shifting sustainability responsibilities into its business divisions, embedding related capabilities across the organization as it reorganizes its sustainability function.
