World Bank lowers 2026 global growth outlook to 2.5% and says deeper war-related disruptions could cut it to 1.3%

The World Bank said global growth is projected at 2.5% in 2026, down from 2.9% in 2025, marking the weakest pace since the COVID-19 period. It said a scenario involving larger energy supply disruptions and significant financial market stress could reduce growth to 1.3%.
