Water reservoirs in Sirik

Iran said U.S. strikes in southern Iran hit two water reservoirs in the Sirik area of Hormozgan province, disrupting drinking water supplies for about 20,000 residents.

Iranian officials and state media said the damaged facilities supplied the Bamani and Kouhestak areas, and that water service was interrupted across villages in the Bamani district.

Reports citing local water officials said the strikes occurred before dawn and that authorities were assessing the extent of the damage to the water infrastructure.

Separate reports on the regional military exchange said Qeshm Island and the port of Sirik were attacked, while several Gulf states and Jordan activated air defenses to intercept incoming missiles.
